Overall a decent hotel for a few nights. Location is perfect - about 2 mins walk from the centre. Rooms are clean and modern. Bed is comfy. Shower works well, plenty of water flow and no issues with access to warm water. AC works well. Two big areas for improvement: (1) As of August 2024, there are building works going on right outside the rooms (talking 2m away). It looks like quite a big project so expect it'll be there for at least a few months. This meant banging, hammering, shouting etc in the mornings - one morning it didn't start until 8:30, but the next it was about 7am. Not fun. Zero mention of this from reception upfront or on the booking. If you want regular lie-ins past 8am, do not book here. (2) Reception tried to overcharge me when paying upfront. May have been a legit accident, but added quite a considerable amount on that I had to correct. If you don't check it, please do.

Not to be confused with the beautiful hotel Zaci! Note that the junior suite (arguably with a nice king size bed) is in a motel style building across the street instead of the pittoresque main building. Walking distance to Cenote Zaci, the church, the park and the museum of folk art and some of the best restaurants in the city, the location is very convenient and the price low which means the facilities are clean and new but minimalistic (no fridge, no ice, no glasses).

We had a pleasant stay in the habitaciones Colonial Zaci. Clean rooms (though funnily enough smells heavily like cookie dough), good bed, bathroom, working AC and fan. Shower has the hottest water we had so far (and lasts long enough). It does splash a bit into the bathroom but manageable. Plenty of parking available (overflow at nearby subway). Reception is at hotel Colonial Zaci straight across. Amazing location, just 1 blocks from the main square.

Location is perfect. Room looked really nice but had it flaws. When in the shower, water came true the wall inside the bedroom. Towel rack came of the wall just like that. Overal I enjoyed the hotel.
